How it all began ...

Celebrated actress Susan George lost her husband, Simon MacCorkindale, to cancer in 2010. He struggled with the disease for 5 years as they searched for answers that never came.

Several years later she decided that the one thing Simon would have wanted her to do, to help others in their time of need. The charity Lasting Life the Simon MacCorkindale legacy helps those living with or affected by cancer fundraising to help individuals and causes with financial support.

My Things & Others was born out of an idea knowing at some time she would have to part with Simons clothes and what better way than to create a charity shop online. Since it’s launch excitingly the idea has evolved with many well known friends and faces donating special once worn items and every purchase will make a difference to someone’s life somewhere.
